Unnecessary stents a problem
One medical malpractice story that’s been getting a lot of attention is the unnecessary use of stents in treating patients with clogged heart arteries. A recent example in Maryland involved a doctor who allegedly implanted hundreds of medically unnecessary cardiac stents, as reported in The (Baltimore) Sun.
